My nest is feeling very empty tonight

As I write this post, I’m having one of those losing-energy-and-confidence moments. It’s 10.30pm and I’m alone in the house. Husband of my heart is stuck on a train and my children are all far away.

So I’m going to curl up on the sofa with a big glass of wine and a snuggly blanket and watch some trashy TV. I’ll feel better in the morning. In the meantime I’ll leave you with the following food for thought from author, Anais Nin:

“From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life.”

surround yourself with life-givers

  1. we’re all coming home soon! Stay positive you are doing so well. Hope the trashy TV was good! x

  2. What a great rule to live by. Im going to stick this on my fridge. xx
