Jo Blogs (again)

Some updates on previous posts for you today, folks.

That bike is now looking a little more battered - and so is its rider!

Remember our very first “Saturday Interviewee”, Brian Gibbons? He’s now in Mexico, having ridden from Alaska, through Canada, California and Nevada before crossing the border. From bear country to bandit territory, Brian’s kept on going, all the while raising cash for Northampton’s Hope Centre for the homeless. Catch Brian on his blog here.

Jack has been described as Kent's answer to Forrest Gump

More recently, we featured Death Valley Jack and his preparations to run the 2010 Sahara Race. Sadly, Jack is currently in a Cairo hospital, suffering from heatstroke. Jack posted on his Facebook page apologising for having to abandon the race and assuring us all that he’ll survive!

Last month, I published a plea for more people to come forward with their stories and I’m very pleased to say that I will be resurrecting the Saturday Interview very soon – thanks to everyone who contacted me 😉

For those who like statistics: In almost 4,000 “hits” on the site, the post attracting most spam was the article on M.E. (Sad, that, isn’t it?) Most hits? Still the Saturday Interview with The Wartime Housewife. Most searched term? “Hot over 50s” – hahahaha – I don’t think they get what they were looking for when they clicked through to this article!

Finally, for this update, you know that person I mentioned yesterday who I reported was handling a break up with grace and maturity? Having seen her ex for the first time, she burst through the door, did a little dance and reported “He got fat. I win.” You go girl!
