Words of Wisdom – Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey

5,000 views on the blog – yay! It’s so good to know that people are enjoying what I’m putting out there. The daily post won’t always be your cup of tea, of course, but check back the next day to re-connect. And of course, you’re always welcome to suggest subjects you’d like me to cover, or volunteer yourself for an interview etc. 🙂

Today’s “Words of Wisdom” come from comic actor, Jim Carrey.

“50 years: here’s a time when you have to separate yourself from what other people expect of you, and do what you love. Because if you find yourself 50 years old and you aren’t doing what you love, then what’s the point?”

It’s a short post today, folks, but then there’s not much to add to that really, is there? Find what you love – is that the secret to life, the universe and everything? (as opposed to 42? ;-))

See you tomorrow

  1. I think the real secret to this is to know what you love in the first place – how many of us are only just beginning to throw of the shackles of ‘ought to’ and ‘should do’ Hopefully we are all old enough and wise enough to do that. I am just starting on the journey with vengeance and it’s not easy, but will be worth it. Good luck to all out there – stick with it.

    • Good point, Julie – it’s working out what we really love that is part of this whole “50” journey, I think. Implementing it is stage 2! Good to hear from you 😉
