Short Autumn

I paid a flying visit to Cumbria this week for a commercial portrait shoot. I wish there had been time for some walking and snapping: the autumn colours are still so vivid, yet the bite in the air tells us that Autumn will be all too short this year. At midday on Friday there was bright sunshine casting a milky glow over Lake Windermere, foreshadowing the winter chill to come…
