A Change of Mood

After yesterday’s grim subject I’ve made today a photo-blog. On Bank Holiday Monday I spent a pleasant couple of hours with husband of my heart walking round the gardens of Coton Manor in Northamptonshire. Nothing reinforces my sense of myself as an Englishwoman than the sight (and smell) of bluebells in the woodland – followed by tea and homemade cake (lemon sponge with orange butter cream) on the patio of the tea room. Happy Wednesday!

  1. How lovely! This is a great reinforcement of the proudness I felt to be British on the day of the Royal Wedding. Also, a positive reminder that the pomp of nature often exceeds anything that man can manufacture…

  2. Oh how lovely. I’ve been to Coton Manor and it is a magical place. And the cake’s good too.
