“Dance as if no one is watching…”

That’s a fair philosophy in life, and one that one man has taken to extremes – whilst letting us all watch! Matt Harding became an internet sensation by travelling around the world and performing his own peculiar little dance for the camera.

It started, it seems, quite by accident whilst he was on a long vacation. When the video clips he made went viral, the thirty-something computer game maker was approached by a chewing gum company who sponsored him to repeat the trip, this time making his dancing the sole purpose of his travels. When he arrived home, he had so many emails from around the world he went back to Stride Gum and suggested that he repeat the repeat trip, this time inviting all the people who had emailed him to come out and dance with him. They agreed.

Interestingly, Matt says on the website spawned by his dancing adventures: Matt was a very poor student and never went to college. When he got older, he was pleased to discover that no one actually cares. Matt doesn’t want to imply that college is bad or anything. He’s just saying is all. There’s other ways to fill your head.

And your time. Go on – have a little dance!

  1. That was such fun – thank you. It made me quite tearful, I think because he looked liked such a joyful person.
