Memo to my Husband

My husband asked me, quite earnestly the other day – “do you feel as if this birthday will be a watershed for you?” Er…hello? Have you not been reading this blog? To be fair, he has been working extremely hard. Well, he has to – someone has to pay for the party!

Seriously, darling, you might be wondering whether you need to buy me a present and, if so, what would be appropriate for one’s wife’s 50th. 50 perfect roses? 1 Canon 5D Mark 2? A year’s worth of spa treatments? Or…

Yahoo! As Jane Russell cries at the end. (Could someone please pick Husband of my Heart up off the floor now?)

  2. I was once at a party where one of my gay friends did a version of this song with the outfit and everything but changed the words to ‘Condoms’ are a girl’s best friend. It was the eighties….
