Someone Wrote a Song for me…

I’ve talked to you about my son, Dan and his music before and you’ve been kind enough to indulge me. So I thought you might like to hear the original song he wrote for my wedding slideshows. I gave him the brief that I wanted something relaxing, maybe soft jazz, with a female vocalist. I wanted to evoke emotion in the viewer to compliment the emotion I have tried to capture in my photographs, and I have to say that I’m delighted with the result. See what you think.

Other photographers have been commissioning Dan to write music for their slideshows and websites and he’s currently developing a music library on his website. It’s exciting, watching him take his first steps towards a creative career , especially as he is at a similar stage to me.

His first love remains composing for computer games, which means he’ll probably be LA-bound before too long. In the meantime, if there’s anyone out there reading this who might be looking for a young composer, give Dan a ring!

Darn, this post has been one long advert 😉

  1. Wow, what a beautiful piece of music! Looks like talent runs in the family.

I’m looking for some music for my book trailer so I just might be giving Dan a ring 😉
